I served 4 years in the Marine Corps as a Logistician, managing requisitions, inventory management, and property accounting. I was stationed in Okinawa, deployed to Iraq, and finished my contract in California. I learned a lot about violence and got some scrapes and bruises along the way. I loved my time and will counsel any young person considering service on the many costs and benefits of military service.
I served 3 years in the Patrol Division and 1 year as a School Resource Officer. I absolutely loved being a Police Officer and consider it one of the best jobs on the planet. I had some harrowing experiences and got some scrapes and bruises from this experience as well. I started a family, and in consultation with my wife decided it was best to leave the job I loved so much. I analogize it to being in a toxic relationship. You can love something and it doesn't have to love you back.
I was raised in a household where these words were liable to get your mouth washed out with soap so maybe I am overcompensating. I have found many sharp minds who use sharp words and personally love their usage. Additionally, with all the violence, anger, depression, anxiety, and intrigue in the world, a mind that recoils from a few potty words seems quaint. If you can't get over that, I'm probably not the creator for you.
The political landscape is utterly toxic. I want to facilitate communication between the extremes, break down complex subjects for communities that have heard simple narratives for a long time, and push EVERYONE towards solution oriented thinking. We do that by:
- Creating Political Debate Content that challenges peoples' preconceptions.
- Creating Media Reaction content to engage a community through Entertainment.
- Providing Personal Development Content to help young people become better versions of themselves.
- Challenging willing Community Members to leverage their talents into Community Service, Mutual Aid during disasters, and building a hybrid digital/real world community.
